Wanted: NY Surf Film Festival Intern

After an extremely successful and sold out inaugural year in 2008, the NY SURF FILM FESTIVAL is gearing up for 2009!  Submissions are open and we are already receiving films from all over the world. We are looking for someone with consistent and regular time to fill the role of our Filmmaker Coordinator intern. 

INTERN DESCRIPTION: Liason to all 2009 NYSFF Submissions & Selected Filmmakers. 

ALL SUBMISSIONS: 
_Submission Received Form Letter 
_Information and Payment Missing Follow up 
_Acceptance/Rejection Notification 

SELECTED FILMMAKERS: 
_Gather Press Materials, Images, Trailers for Digital and Print Use 
_Ensure Timely Receipt of Screener Copy in Festival Format 
_Aid with travel Arrangements 
_Coordinate interviews with Media 
_Coordinate Photo Ops 
_Welcome and act as point person during Festival Weekend 
_Coordinate Q&A Sessions 
_Distributor Meeting Liason 

SUBMISSION DATABASE: 
_Record and Maintain all film entries in database 
_Monthly Submission Updates 

Commitment of 5-8 hours per week for 5 months. Actual Days & Times Flexible. 
Hours increase Sept 2009 in the final weeks leading up to the festival [10-15 hours per week] 
Must be available September 25-27,2009 for Festival Weekend. 

Passion for Surf, Film, Events a MUST. Must have exceptional organizational & follow up skills. Great opportunity to be a part of a professionally run international surf industry event, work alongside a seasoned event planner and become an integral part of our NYC & Global surf community. College Credit Available.
