A Surfers Ball – 2/27/09

The OLC will be Hosting a Surfers Ball to benifit our friend and Wynn Surfboards glasser Butch.
Butch was just diagnosed w/ a brain tumor and his medical bills are mounting quickly.
We invite everyone to join us for a fun filled evening of live music by the Turtleheads a fantastic spread of food from the chefs @ Great Bay accompanied by a cash bar w/ drink specials.

We will be raffling off a Wynn Longboard as well as tons of other raffles to be had.

NJ Public Hearing on Offshore Liquid Natural Gas Facility – 1/27

There will be a public hearing on the LNG Island in New Jersey on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at the Eatontown Sheraton in Eatontown, NJ from 6pm-9pm. For those of you who cannot make the hearing in Long Beach, NY this is another opportunity for you to get informed or be heard.

Surfrider CLI Fundraiser on 1/23

The Central Long Island Chapter of Surfrider is holding a Fundraiser on Friday, January 23rd at the TIKI BAR in Long Beach, NY at 8pm. Live Music by The Sun Gets Down.

$5 at the door. All proceeds benefit the campaign to stop the LNG island off Long Beach. Definitely a worthy cause.

LNG Station Public Hearing 1/29 in Long Beach, NY

There will be a public hearing on the proposed LNG transfer station on Thursday, January 29th 6-8 pm at the Long Beach Public Library in Long Beach, LI o. SFONYC: Endless Summer Screening w/ Anti-LNG Mtg

SFO will be hosting a screening of Endless Summer at 92YTribeca Theater, 200 Hudson Street on January 22, 2009 from 8-10. After the movie there will be a discussion about the proposed LNG Transfer Station with members of the Chapter, Clean Ocean Action and the Staten Island Tuna Club. Surfrider NYC Meeting Update

The January SFO NYC meeting has been cancelled. SFO NYC lost their meeting space and are actively searching for a new location to accomodate up to 25 people.
