This one is for French Fry, who is the proud new poppa of twins. Congratulations and Happy Thanksgiving brother. We miss you up here, but by the looks of this Thanksgiving swell from a couple of years ago, you’re pretty set.

“What Exit?”

Reports were calling for long period east groundswell, and every ounce of stuffing was needed to cushion the ride down. Spot checking along the shore reached an all-time high as most beaches just weren’t working. High tide buries it, and low tide loses it, but somewhere in between it works.

We ended up where we started (no surpise), which provided more than enough time for China-Ty to sell me on his latest board concepts. Tail flex, mid flex, carbon rods for memory – will a shaper team up with this shredder already?!

We suited up, if for no other reason but to empty the tanks, and managed to snag a few fading, late afternoon eastern lines. Of course it was worth it.

Dirty Cream Bowls

The trip down the GSP can be as slow as the waves are fast. In the land of the one-half-day swell, an internal debate was raging as to whether to make the 100 mile loop in the face of stiff afternoon westerlies. Sunday afternoon reports were not looking good.

A rendezvous with Morgunz (pulling off a double sesh) and a run in with the police provided more than enough motivation needed to chance some raw sewage and score a few empty, dirty clean lines.

Post Obamalypse

Three days of solid waves might be a sign of the Apocalypse or just left overs from the Obamalypse but, either way, missing it sucked. It was probably easy to sleep this morning in if you got some but, for those who didn’t, this morning’s post apocalyptic, balmy junk sesssion had to do.
