“The Players” features sports in art as a means for addressing a variety of issues including identity, power, heroism, nostalgia, popular culture, gender, and the process of making art. It looks at athletes as icons, and fans as participants. Included is contemporary art in a variety of media – painting, drawing, photography, video, and performance – by Jack Balas, Patrick Barth, John Berens, Susannah Ray and more.

The big event is finally here! Surfrider NYC’s annual major fundraiser, May Meltdown, is shaping up to be a massive party that you won’t want to miss. Four bands, two DJs, free Kirin beer from 7pm to 8pm, incredible raffle prizes from Volcom, Reef, N’East Magazine, Shut Skateboards, Sonic Yoga and much more! All proceeds from this event will go to Surfrider NYC and our continued programs and campaigns for coastal conservation and environmental awareness. See you there!
